Many smokers don't know that nicotine salt (or nicsalt) is horrendously addictive compared to freebase nicotine. And nicsalt is the primary form of nicotine in tobacco and some vapes. Cigarette companies sneakily add more to the rolling paper to make cigarettes more addictive.

It is orders of magnitude more difficult quitting nicsalt. It's why many people who successfully quit recommend starting with stronger freebase nicotine vapes or lower nicsalt and then trying to scale back from there eventually moving to freebase.

Nicsalt is so addictive you can be going into withdrawal while vaping freebase nicotine.

Edit: gums use Nicotine polacrilex which was engineered to increase bioavailability over freebase. Most gums and patches are hard to quit because manufacturers offer no guidance on tapering dosage although you figured this out on your own. You're smart.

The permissions on their extension allows for them to read site data so they definitely could operate as a data broker. However their tos has no mention of any data sharing so you are likely correct that they just take a commission. Great site imo

We can frame violence in ways that justify or invalidate its righteousness.

It depends on how you define "wrong". But there are universal truths. If someone tries to kill or harm you it's considered just if you harm them in defense.

We dont know Luigi's legal defense yet but my guess is his attorney will argue self defense. If so the justice system now has to sort out whether this was self defense and in that sense it will likely be considered wrong.

If you have multiple extensions installed honey always secretly steals the revenue from competitors without asking for consent. Most other extensions will ask if you want to activate cashback. Honey just disables their competitors and steals that affiliate revenue. It should be classified as malware

Topcashback consistently beats honey and others out (almost all competitors beat honey btw). And they pay out and have customer support. Easily thr best way to sell your personal data to a shadowy data broker

It's been mentioned before but NYC will be using special jury screening processes to make sure none of the jurors are "terrorist" sympathizers.

A competing viewpoint is that our health insurance system is fine and that denying people coverage and either saddling them with debt or causing their deaths is also fine. Anyone who thinks that way hasn't had to deal with a claim getting rejected. But with AI reject bots becoming more common over time everyone will. Pain can teach empathy.

Most people are fine with a little institutionalized corruption but when essential services like healthcare stop functioning they're going to get very angry. It's not so much vigilante justice as it is an insurrection against bad governance.

As a gym rat and bicyclist i was having health issues. No drugs or alcohol. Lots of supplements.

I went oxalate free on a zero carb diet for several years and it fixed my auto immune disorder. I lost 30 pounds of muscle in the process because of a loss in appetite. I slowly readded foods into my diet. Turned out that I couldn't handle salicylates in large amounts. It's in most plants as well. 3% of the population shares my intolerance. We can't eat spices or herbs.

All humans have individual variances in our ability to process plant toxins. There's a reason why some people are more prone to kidney stones than others. It doesn't mean someone is unhealthy.

Kennedy would end up firing Allan Dulles because he had tricked Kennedy into Bay of Pigs. These guys had a reputation for misleading presidents.

[–] smayonak@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

He probably didn't know. Bush shuffled Cheney off to the margins and had Rummy resign in 2006 when he realized that he had been manipulated. From then on he leaned heavily on Condoleeza Rice. But the main thing is that the Dulles brothers were long gone.

We have to distinguish between the Dulles Brothers and Eisenhower. The brothers were two of the biggest gangsters to ever step foot in DC. Because they were allowed to run operations without the knowledge of the president and they lied and manipulated presidents is not completely clear what Eisenhower knew.

I think you're right and that I've horribly misunderstood how this data is collected and used. According to their yearly report, mozilla's advertising revenue is explicitly not drawn from user data and is only related to tiles and default search engine sponsorships. The fact that they are not selling this information is heartening and it inspires confidence that they have not flipped on the ad money spigot.

Hi, I'm looking for flexible PCBs compatible with the 5x7 Dactyl Manuform (Carbonfet variant). Does anyone know if any are available online? Thanks!
