Americans don't care about our politics anywhere near as much as you do.

Maybe that's the problem. Gotta say, as a Canadian, it really pisses me off to hear an American say this right now with everything that's going on.

Surely you've gotta know what's happening in the States right now is affecting everyone in the world.

In line with what you're saying, I've been thinking that as fixated as we all are on Trump right now (and naturally so), whoever comes after him might be even worse.

I've said for years that the trouble in the Middle East was eventually going to come here, and here we are (and it's just getting start). There are just certain immutable laws that are above man-made laws: One is that destruction always follows after pride, another is that we all reap what we sow. (Canadian here)

I get what you're saying... it's overwhelming for us, and we're in Canada... can't imagine what it's like for those of you who are right there and can see/understand what's going on. The seeming lack of concern from some Americans makes perfect sense when you explain it that way. Thanks!

Hmm, you don't sound very worried about it either... same as the other Americans I've asked. Like, unless I'm just not reading your tone right, I'm probably more worried about it than you are.

Looked at the article... it's really discouraging the way some Americans support and seem to love this guy. With everything he's doing, do you think he's setting the country up for another major terrorist attack?

The guy's definitely not winning any popularity contests.
