Hey all,

It’s been nearly a year since I joined this amazing community and, first The Fediverse is awesome!!! Second, it’s difficult AF to navigate.

So, in the spirit of expanding the Fediverse; what’s your favorite community??

As the title suggests, when did this happen? How?

In my humble opinion, chicken wings should be eaten with your hands. Almost, as savagely, as ribs. But when the hell did people start eating them with utensils? It just, seems wrong on so many levels.

Four men climb on stage during Elvis Presley's show in Las Vegas, supposedly to shake his hand. Fearing for his life, Elvis and bassist Jerry Scheff immobilize the men using karate moves. No charges are filed, but later Elvis tells the audience, "I'm sorry, ladies and gentlemen. I'm sorry I didn't break his goddamned neck, is what I'm sorry about." After the attack, Elvis becomes convinced that his former karate instructor Mike Stone, the man now sleeping with his ex, Priscilla, is trying to have him killed.

The Beach Boys begin recording sessions for Brian Wilson's masterpiece, "Good Vibrations". Multiple layered overdubs spread out over eleven sessions would make this the most expensive single ever recorded to date. Although the record would top charts around the world and sell millions of copies, it would be The Beach Boys' last to reach the Billboard Top 10 for ten years.

Doing a week-long stint as guest host of the Mike Douglas Show, John Lennon performs "Memphis" and "Johnny B. Goode" with Chuck Berry, whom Lennon refers to as "my hero."

John and Cynthia Lennon, along with George and Patti Harrison, fly to India to study meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Paul and Ringo would join them a few days later, but Starr would become bored and leave on March 1st. Much of the Beatles' "White Album" was written during their stay.

Columbia Records releases "Bits And Pieces" by The Dave Clark Five in the UK, where it will rise to #2. Some of the song's unique percussion was supplied by band members stomping on an exercise board, not always perfectly in time to the music.
