Talk to an attorney.

Depends how much it snows and how cold it gets. Much of this may sound over-cautious if your winters are mild.

  • Most cities/towns have by-laws regulating property owners clear and rock-salt their walkways within a set amount of time after snow has ceased falling,

  • If you use a shovel, get an ergonomic one. It is very easy to hurt your back clearing snow. No matter how long you wait, the plow always comes AFTER you've cleared your driveway,

  • If you have kids, get into the routine of checking local news for 'snow days', or in other words the schools have announced they are closed due to poor road conditions,

If you drive:

  • Wiper fluid needs to be swapped out for winter fluid or it may freeze in the reservoir,

  • Get a windshield ice-scraper/brush,

  • Your vehicle should have a good emergency kit including first aid, a candle/matches, and blanket in case you get stuck in the boonies during a winter storm,

  • Expect black-ice and snow drifts while driving. Both love to cause you to lose control. Rain freezing on the trees, while absolutely gorgeous, is a sign to take the day off work to avoid driving,

  • If it gets really cold and/or you're in an area with high seasonal precipitation you'll want to have a vehicle that is equipped with a block heater (if it is gas combustion engine ofc), and have an extra set of winter tires (sometimes a legislated requirement too) to change for the season.

  • Keep an eye on your (and I guess your neighbours if you want to be helpful) house' roof and make sure the snow doesn't build up too much as this can cause damage/leaks/collapses if it gets too heavy

It biases them towards catering to public demand instead of being a neutral arbiter of justice.

Want to keep your job as judge? Better not be 'weak on crime' etc...

Yup. Or in other words "spikes".

"This represents a 32 percent drop in killings and injuries compared with the first quarter, but an increase of 27 percent compared with the second quarter,"

OOC if I had a pet pig. Loved it. Gave it a full and happy life safe and warm in my house until one day it died of old age. Would it be okay to give the body to my destitute neighbours so they can feed their dogs?

Edit 21hrs later: Your silence speaks volumes

I regret that I have but 1 upvote to give this.

Paramedic or Firefighter?

Okay but why go through the battery interface and not try the old converter cable one? Much easier to splice the cable past the box than try to rig a connection to the underside of the laptop. Would also prevent any 'no battery' issues too.

The battery is DC. How do you plan to provide DC to the battery connection from AC outlets without a convertor?

It took how many comments for you to finally say something of substance? That is why this discussion is dead.

FTR lol at citing a news article about recovery programs you dismissed ages ago, and an article dated back to the DSM-IV supposedly in the era of invalid language.

Bye

Reuters documented at least 600 previously unreported workplace injuries at Musk’s rocket company: crushed limbs, amputations, electrocutions, head and eye wounds and one death. SpaceX employees say they’re paying the price for the billionaire’s push to colonize space at breakneck speed.

Through interviews and government records, Reuters documented at least 600 injuries of SpaceX workers since 2014. Many were serious or disabling. The records included reports of more than 100 workers suffering cuts or lacerations, 29 with broken bones or dislocations, 17 whose hands or fingers were “crushed,” and nine with head injuries, including one skull fracture, four concussions and one traumatic brain injury. The cases also included five burns, five electrocutions, eight accidents that led to amputations, 12 injuries involving multiple unspecified body parts, and seven workers with eye injuries.

SpaceX, founded by Musk more than two decades ago, takes the stance that workers are responsible for protecting themselves, according to more than a dozen current and former employees, including a former senior executive.

Musk himself at times appeared cavalier about safety on visits to SpaceX sites: Four employees said he sometimes played with a novelty flamethrower and discouraged workers from wearing safety yellow because he dislikes bright colors.

Despite living just 1 mile from my elementary school, I never walked or biked once - let me show you why.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis suffered a string of defeats in school board races in several counties on Tuesday.

The Republican governor, who has sought to reshape his state's education system by regulating how schools deal with subjects such as race, sexual orientation and gender, threw his support behind 23 school board candidates last month.

A majority of those candidates lost their races on Tuesday.

"People want sanity. People want common sense. And people believe we should educate everyone," Long told The Associated Press. "The people have spoken."

It feels dirty to agree with an ISP on something. But even the worst corporations are on the right side of something from time to time I suppose.
