You mean to tell me that all of this happened in a technology company where everything is auditable? That none of it occurred digitally, where it's tracked?

This person didn't go to the police because the story is a fabrication. And they didn't say anything at the time, because there was likely clear proof of the false claims.

I think that the mystery is cause for the news coverage, along with the unique aspect of the sub. I'd like to think that a missing submarine of migrants would get the same attention but.... not sure.
