Unfortunately most of the species tagged trees are mass imported and not mapped by a real mapper.

I try often to map species or genus but there is no good mobile app for this task yet.

And here is the chart to follow the progress:

https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/natural=tree#chronology

We should see a saturation arround 3 trillion trees. (1)

You can easily help achivieving this goal by reworking natural=tree_row and adding single natural=tree into natural=wood areas :) I know, some say this is discouraged, but we really need to map EVERY TREE!

Sometimes I even think about adding a Google Maps Link to POIs, because of Reviews. The reviews helping a lot to know what to expect from a POI before visiting them.

Thankfully there is no established tag yet.

The Linux Mint Upgrade process for Version 21.x to 22 still needs manual console commands and a sudo or root user with graphic access.

It would be nice if Mint will improve to a more integrated upgrade process in future.

Is this an upgraded seed!?

The most annoying thing when adding POIs with Osmand for me is, that the POIs are disappearing when uploaded.

The POIs are only coming back after map update which takes couple of days or weeks.

That means its impossible fix an error on the new POI. Another editor needs to be used then. I use Vespucci in these cases.

How is the connection between OpenStreetMap POIs and Mangrove Reviews? How does a map user find the reviews for a specific POI?

I was checking out https://mangrove.reviews and it seems that it is using Name+GeoCoordinates to identify an POI.

@pietervdvn: cool, did not know that page. Where is it uploading to?

While StreetComplete is very careful with the quests, my experience with SCEE was much worse. As an example, with current SCEE 58.2 the building color quest is still buggy. The brown, black and white choices are showing wrong colored illustrations.

Therefore SCEE is not a recommendation for me.

True! And the "Chronic" feature on www.openstreetmap.org is not really helpful for searching deleted nodes.

Blitzer.de Pro App is the bestseller App in German Play Store. The Update now features OpenStreetMap Slippy Map to show crowdsourced speed cameras, constructions, road closures and traffic jams. The App even has an OpenStreetMap based Navigation System.

1 Million people in Germany can now see and use OpenStreetMap Data in their App. This is a huge success and a breakthrough for OpenStreetMap adaption.

Unfortunately the app does not mention the Copyright yet. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

I stumpled upon an unmaintained list of used shop=* tags for Germany. Link: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Germany/Shops

Since there is https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org there is no need to have this page anymore, which is not updated since several years.

Anybody knows how to delete a page?

Hi all,

the firefox clone Fennec from F-Droid uses way to much storage.

I was not able to clean it. I am also very afraid of loosing history and stored passwords.

Anybody knows how to savely reduce this? The big storage must be caused by cached Images and or Videos, right?

This can save you some time when opening the OSM Website.

Also links to coordinates or objects can be shortened like https://osm.org/relation/62422

Unfortunately Mozilla-based browsers do not save the osm.org in history.

Dear F-Droid fans, users and maintainers,

I am trying to understand the Security Vulnerability Process. It seems like if an App uses a code library with a known vulnerability, the version can be tagged with

antifeatures:
      - KnownVuln

This was broadly added in one previous Merge Request last year: https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/-/commit/b90b2c53e5de4d1e30c5a883eb41faa74ed6c0f7

It seems like the corresponding CVE identifiers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Vulnerabilities_and_Exposures) are not listed when an App is tagged. So a user just sees a generic warning, and needs to investigate on it's own to check the severity and details.

Any thoughts or additions?

thanks!
