that graphic showing how many laps on the current stint is going to work overtime today

[-] lackthought@lemmy.sdf.org 17 points 11 months ago

the beginning of the interview was funny as well

Naomi apparently didn't know Lando's lap time was deleted and she asked Oscar 'why am I talking to you?'

I'd been using Unity off-and-on for more than a decade, even published two crappy mobile games back in the day

this recent kerfuffle led me to find Godot and I actually quite enjoy it. so even if Unity did a full reversal I can't see myself ever going back to it

I had no idea their CEO was from EA, so in a way I'm glad all this happened as I learned quite a bit

what a joke

does the switch pro controller use different joysticks than the joycons?

my joycons have drift but the pro controller, which I've used more often, is perfectly fine

[-] lackthought@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 1 year ago

yeah definitely odd

I tried to unsubscribe and re-subscribe thinking maybe that would 'fix' it, but now its stuck in a subscribe pending state which may be worse, I don't know

probably a federation issue

I have the same problem with kbin.social magazines (well, m/mma which is the only one I care about)

tried asking on both platforms and didn't get much traction

found this account on Mastodon and seems like a cool project trying to preserve some nice video game history

@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games

According to https://lemmy.fediverse.observer/dailystats

Lemmy has ~67,500 daily active users over the past two weeks (it did peak at around 72,000)

How do you feel about the activity in your communities?

Do you think it will take another 'event' on some other website for more growth, or do you think Lemmy can grow naturally from here?

Or are you fine with the current activity and don't necessarily see the need for more users at this time?

This site is great for casual video game radio listening with a lot of retro game music

You can even request and vote on upcoming songs which is cool

I had not played Diablo at the time so this game was my introduction to the genre

It was only $10 brand new which was awesome for a poor kid like myself

I recently requested and was approved to have a new community created on the programming.dev instance called Software Testing

This is a community for people who would like to discuss, learn, or ask questions on software testing

Unit, Integration, Functional, Automation - all the fun stuff!

QA, Devs, POs, or anyone at all are welcome!

Learn the benefits of software testing, and its role in continuous delivery.

Software testing is an organizational process within software development in which business-critical software is verified for correctness, quality, and performance. Software testing is used to ensure that expected business systems and product features behave correctly as expected

is anyone else having federation issues for kbin 'magazines'?

I've been subscribed to m/mma for a month and posts/comments do not come over to lemmy in a timely manner (or at all in some cases)

I'm not sure if the issue is on the lemmy side or the kbin side so I don't even know where to check or submit an issue

I know a Mastodon user can create a new post by mentioning a Lemmy community, but I believe it is just a text post

Here was an example I found of this:
https://lemmy.world/post/82145

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a post in Lemmy via Mastodon that is a link to somewhere else such as a website?

I suppose I could just put the link in the body of the text post but a direct link would be cool, if possible

I just created a community where people can discuss old internet or software topics

Topics can be sites/fads/software/games/memes or any general happenings that used to occur on computers way back in the day.

You can think of this as a sister community to the retro hardware community !retrocomputing@lemmy.sdf.org

here are some links you can use to find us!:
