I really don't know it would get "far, far worse" that the way we are currently heading to. I just think he may get us there faster

Vimusic is a very good option if you need just music

I've found that as well with some files. At first I thought the issue was with the jellyfin instance had not enough capabilities, but after trying the same file with its subtitles, it worked on any other client: flatpak, web, and regular android. So for me it is the chromecast/androidtv device, so I am now looking what to replace it with

Firefox, with ublock origin and yt high definition plugins, so I can have a decent yt player. I have disabled/hide chrome, I have no need for it.

What are you reinstalling? New haos on old kvm? Old haos on new kvm? New deployment?

From the logs I read that your user chris has no rw perms within the haos.

If you are going to a non-english speaking country, do not expect anybody to speak english. Learn some basic phrases on the local language.

If you need any medical assistance, do not hessitate and go to a hospital. Even better if you have some travel insurance.

Do not propose. Thank me later.

Thanks. I reinstalled the app, cleared data and cache, but it was still unable to stream any content. Then I noticed the chromecast was acting weird, it was lagging, it was getting very, very slow connection speed, like if it was applying updates or running maintenance, I don't know for sure. I checked again next day, and now is is working as expected.

If not for the fact that I really like the form factor of this device, I would ditch it.

Otoh, the logs are in the post, maybe your client is not rendering > markdown < properly.

I think that would be something related to your DE. In my case, I have the Plasma Integration plugin in both Firefox and Chromium-based browsers, allowing me to play videos full screen for long periods, the only nag being that if I have it full screen on one of my displays but there is any other window focused, it triggers the screensaver. For those cases, there are a few ways on KDE to prevent the displays to enter any saving mode with no more than 2 clicks, or a shortcut if you prefer to configure those

I've been streaming to my chromecast having jellyfin-androidtv 0.16.11 without much issues, but from a few days now everytime I try to reproduce any video, even those previously reproduced on the device, all I get is a dark screen with the controls, but nothing is reproduced.

I have updated my Jellyfin server to 10.9.7, but that does not seem to be the issue. I can reproduce media via web, via the media player (flatpak com.github.iwalton3.jellyfin-media-player 1.11.1) and the android app 2.6.1,

On the logs I can see the following:

It makes no difference if I set the app to reach the server via IP or the reverse proxy.

I have looked for open issues but have found nothing related, so I don't know if this is just me or if it would be worth to open a issue.

I have installed LEDLUX smart wall socket (around 25€), MOES light switches (around 30€ for a 2-gang switch), both of which are quite easy to install as it replaces what you already have. I have used Sonoff zigbee relays (around 50€ for a pack of 4) as well as Avatto mini zigbee smart switch modules (around 20€, single and 4-gang modules), but it may require some modifications on your current installation

Or go with a zero, plug and play socket, like the Nous A1Z smart socket, around 15€ each. Just plug it onto your wall socket.
