I think there's something similar in terms of initial patent rights, but it's awful that people who need these meds are footing the bill. I realise now that I have been spoiled by the NHS. The idea of charging people for medical care that they need is unthinkable to me. It's heartbreaking.
disgrunty
Wow, damn I had no idea. It's criminal that they're allowed to price gouge people like that!
I'd understand if it was some frivolous cosmetic thing made from anglerfish caviar or something equally absurd, but this is lifesaving medicine. I wish terrible things on the people who set those prices, that's pure evil.
Does the US not have generic unbranded drugs?
Generics are literally a fact of life over here (UK) and the fact that Americans are going insane over them is wild to me. The NHS will prescribe generics as standard because they're cheaper to supply and they're literally the same drug.
My mother has a whole goody-bag of medication and there's not a single brand name to be seen. They've kept her going for >10 years.
Sun, moon, and something-else-I-can't-remember signs.
"Weird" feels like such a mild way to describe John Harvey Kellogg.
I'd say the American one because as a British person, I haven't sung ours once in my entire life but Americans seem to sing theirs for everything.
Please let it be AI.
I mean, the bar is on the ground at this point at best.
It was a painful process, having my love of Pokémon games slowly stripped away until I finally gave up on them. It's hard giving up on something that you've loved from childhood. Pokémon used to be my comfort game and it's now unplayable trash.
The only reason I still have my Switch at all right now is the Zelda franchise because I currently lack the means to emulate. And the occasional sale item from the eShop because I'm not paying full price for a Switch game ever again after they ruined Pokémon.
I'm surprised no one's brought up the hellscape we know as the Nintendo eShop. It's >90% trash.
In descending order of good privacy:
- Tor (not necessary for the majority of use-cases)
- Hardened Firefox (you can find tutorials for this with a quick Google)
- Mullvad
- Librewolf
- Brave (yes there's controversy about crypto and the founder being a dick, it's still miles better than Chrome)
- Everything else
- Chrome itself (seriously, don't use Chrome)
My number 1 recommended plugin for privacy and getting rid of ads is always ✨ uBlock Origin ✨ (not uBlock, that's not the one by the OG dev).
With a latte, it's just normal steamed milk. A cappuccino has foamy steamed milk. Specifically, it has an equal volume of steamed milk and foam taking up space in the cup. You get more actual milk diluting the coffee in a latte, resulting in a milder drink.
So what I'm hearing is, we should all be very mad with the Americans?
