Yes Fairphone is great. My parent is still using my old v3 and is still gets updates as well has having spare parts for fixes.

I have really enjoyed using Solus for the last couple of years. Stable yet up to date.

But in this case, as per op, you would never own the tires. Just rent them so then when the tire hotel closes you never can collect the tires that you thought you bought.

The streaming websites|apps don't allow you to download the purchased movies or shows so no files to keep.

I would recommend the fairphone 4 or 5. I have the 4 and it is great: reparable with software updates (os etc) , easily replaced battery and sustainably sourced.

My fairphone4 has been really good so far. If battery power is an issue you could just bring one spare but I haven't needed to do that yet

I'm currently using OpenBoard with some downloaded language dictionaries. I think it is a good tool, not really able to see definitions though
