it's laughable that they weren't on a watchlist previously for the discriminatory laws against immigrants, native americans, black people, etc, and the millions of people born in territories that get no federal representation

It's wild. If the US was put on an honest human rights watchlist, its domestic crimes throughout its existence are already huge, but if we included everything done as an empire, it'd easily be one of the biggest violators of human rights in recorded history.

CIVICUS was founded in the 90s. So the murder of Trayvon Martin and many other innocent poc, the immigration detention centers under Obama, Trump, and Biden, illegal wars overseas and black sites, none of that qualified?
