it's laughable that they weren't on a watchlist previously for the discriminatory laws against immigrants, native americans, black people, etc, and the millions of people born in territories that get no federal representation

It's wild. If the US was put on an honest human rights watchlist, its domestic crimes throughout its existence are already huge, but if we included everything done as an empire, it'd easily be one of the biggest violators of human rights in recorded history.

And the highest rate of incarceration in the world by a large margin and for decades running and for the prison population abuse, deaths, racialization, etc
