Israel’s military has drawn up plans to reconquer Gaza in a bid to finally defeat Hamas, paving the way for a long-running occupation of the besieged enclave.

According to the plan, the IDF would call up several combat divisions to reinvade and subdue Hamas, take control of wide swaths of the enclave and force the territory’s 2.2mn population into a small, so-called humanitarian zone along the Mediterranean coast.

One of the people familiar with the deliberations said Israel could take over the distribution of all humanitarian aid and had recently assessed how many calories each Palestinian would require. Another said the military was considering options including distributing aid directly, or through private contractors, to ensure Hamas could not benefit.

The UN said on Monday that it would withdraw a third of its international staff from Gaza after determining that an Israeli tank had fired a shell into a UN compound last week, killing a European aid worker and injuring five others, according to spokesman Stéphane Dujarric. The IDF has denied attacking the compound.

lol. Fuck this genocidal imperial bullshit.

really makes you wonder how the world will react when Israel breaks into a collective celebration when they realize they’ve killed the last Palestinian.

i also continue to wonder who will be their next target for genocide.

Israel has ethnically cleansed Palestinians into all sorts of countries. It is quite convenient for them actually. It gives them a perpetual justification to "defend themselves" by attacking neighboring countries. This is why first they wanted to push the Palestinians from Gaza into Sinai. Because then Sinai would become an area that Israel would be "threatened" from, justifying another "forward defense". This is also why Sisi categorically is against it.

As we have seen with Nazi Germany these kind of settler wannabe empires alsways will find a justification or create one to invade their neighbors for expansion.

Lebanese and Syrians, probably.

[–] catloaf@lemm.ee 4 points 7 hours ago

Already are.

That's the neat thing, even if you turn Palestine to glass, there are Palestinians outside Palestine itself that are now radicalized because you killed their friends and family and took their land. On one hand, it gives you an excuse to be in a forever war (see also: war on terror) but you'll also never be at peace.

Sigh of relief because then it’s only a matter of time until the protests die and history books are written praising israel.

[–] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

Israeli bombing killed a Syrian today, and Syria has not even attacked Israel.

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 2 points 10 hours ago

I mean I doubt that will happen. I have been told by, well maybe not good authority but a significant little corner of the internet. That joe biden was causing the genocide and once he was not president it would be better.

So I guess the ICJ ruling was completely pointless?

[–] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 11 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

The ICJ is completely pointless

[–] atzanteol@sh.itjust.works 4 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago) (1 children)

The important thing is that Kamala was taught a lesson. That lesson being that leftists will burn down the country over a single issue on which their stance will make no change.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

So true. And predictable.

[–] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 3 points 8 hours ago

did this election happening yet?

Not sure. Trying to ethnically cleanse Palestinians to Egypt feels like we are still in 2023.

[–] queermunist@lemmy.ml 1 points 8 hours ago

The genocide is bipartisan.

[–] technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com -3 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Imagine reacting to genocide by attacking those who oppose genocide... with old, tired jokes.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 1 points 6 hours ago

I'm reacting to genocide by pointing out those idiots who refused to vote (or to vote Harris) for the specific reason of Israel's war crimes are idiots.

It was an assinine and ridiculous position which just happened to coincide exactly to russian propagandists (just lucky, I guess) and it resulted in the worst possible outcome for Palestine which was a guarantee they ignored.

The five seconds they got to pretend that trump brokered a cease fire are over.

Again with this bullshit. In every post we see your kind diverting topic of discussion with no value. What a useless breath of energy.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world -2 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

"breath of energy"?

your translator's on the fritz, Ivan.

[–] technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com -2 points 8 hours ago

Learn how to spell genocide, creep.

[–] land@lemmy.ml 8 points 11 hours ago

Their goal is “The Greater Israel.” You can’t defeat an idea, which is Hamas.
