Welcome! It's nice and comfy here, if a little less of an infinite content-hose compared to Reddit. You might need to do a little more heavy lifting yourself in terms of posting and commenting, but on the plus side - people actually read what you post, instead of being drowned by a deluge of spam and bots! And discussions are mostly friendly and civil!
And it also actively prevents doomscrolling when you see the same post multiple times.
Yes that's what I've found! There's less of it but the quality is far better, the atmosphere is far better and it's like reddit used to be years ago. I've missed all that and I'm so glad I found lemmy. ☺️

Honestly I'd expect more action for Lemmy than left leaning Reddit accounts just cause people here have taken steps to make a difference

Is there a reason why you're promoting !ask@lemm.ee now? Ask Lemmy communities already exist on both .world and .ml, creating another community seems kinda counterproductive to me.
