Welcome. I think you will like it here. We're kind of like reddit except we aren't trying to make money from you, or your content. And we are more likely to follow the golden rule. And swear. Lots of swearing.
and we don't limit or kill 3rd party app support, but rather support them, and even have a page about apps for lemmy which are, 3rd party
Happy to be here! I love finding alternative platforms to the big ones, I'm a forum nerd and soon I'm thinking about moving one from phpBB 3 to either Discourse or Node.bb and having it join ActivityPub. I hope more people will join lemmy soon!
