Because of ethical restraints it is extremely rare for a senior government official, let alone a sitting president, to endorse a consumer product so explicitly.

Keep boycotting, and join protests outside Tesla showrooms. ~60% of Musk’s wealth is in Tesla shares. Tank the stock and tank his wealth and thus influence

I'm not surprised. Didn't Donald Trump used the Oval Office once to promote some... ketchup or sauce or something, and was paid for? I mean it denigrades the station of the office, but does he really care?
He literally sold the Resolute Desk to Goya for ad space.
This is after he did a Mcdonalds/Dominos ad when he had them cater the NCAA basketball champions' dinner at the White House.

Seeing musk, trump and a Tesla in a single shot just makes that toxic association so much stronger. I don't think this is going to play out like they hope.
Plus, you know the boycott is working, talk about desperate.
Searching on Google “how to sell my tesla” or “how to sell my tesla stock” hurts their shares. Scheduling a test drive and not showing up wastes their time and resources :)

Just because we want electronic cars, doesn't means we'll take Tesla's.
I yelled at my phone when I saw this.
He said "oh wow! The whole thing is a computer!" like cars haven't been like that for YEARS now.
The I go on Facebook for some reason (I am in a rural area) and I am seeing people talking about buying teslas in the local community pages. These people are not people that couldn't afford a used Mitsubishi Mirage....

Worse, Teslas are designed like computer software rather than cars, which is why they are so dangerous and terrible, as software development processes are absolutely horrible for things that actually matter, especially when compared to existing vehicle engineering principles.
I feel dirty cross-linking to that other place but check out how/where they locate the brake lines. A nice convenient rust-prone place, only accessible by removing the battery. Apparently the design has become even shittier since.

And that only pushed me to find home recipes for the few Goya products I used to buy... Have not bought anything Goya in 4-5 years
