Better get started on your confit, at this point the official numbers show that the far right will get the third place. The Left won the election, with Macron's center right as a close second

Is France similar to the US in that the far right is viewed as an existential threat by pretty much everyone except the far right? If that's the case, it seems like a coalition between the centrists and the left would be obvious. Of course, the devil is always in the details.

Yes it is. And as in the US they are getting more mainstream and accepted. They spent decades polishing their image to appear "normal" but in the details they are still racists, anti-everything, pro "normal Christian family with plenty of white babies".

Very much like maga dumbs in the end 🤷🏻‍♂️

Let's hope they continue that Spirit of cooperation and form an effective new government. One that shows people that the fascism will never help them.
