Democrats’ stunning turn-around on U.S.-provided funding for UNRWA is a triumph for hard-right activists and Republican lawmakers who have long sought to undermine the U.N. agency.

Now is exactly the wrong time to halt funding for UNRWA … We should not collectively punish millions of people for the alleged deeds of a few,” Norwegian foreign minister Espen Barth Eide argued

Norway gets it. I don’t understand how this is even up for debate. Say these claims are true, how does that justify punishing the whole population of Gaza? But then again, that’s what’s been happening since forever so it shouldn’t surprise us… it’s just so saddening to see so many countries callously pulling funds as if it’s nothing. Wtf it’s wrong with these countries?

Collective punishement.

It's the natural choice of racists.

A group that employs 30,000 people and gives aid to millions loses its funding because 12 people were accused of participating in a terrorist act, independent of the organisation they worked for.

This is like putting the entire Republican party in prison because of Trump's actions.

AIPAC needs to register as a foreign agent, Biden and the rest of the now liberals get a shit ton of money funneled to them they supporters of Israeli expansion.

Like, imagine if any other country pulled that shit, Israel does it blatantly and just calls anyone that points it out antisemitc

Accused by Israel whose evidence is confessions gained through interrogation, and screenshots of vaguely pro Palestine messages in an anonymous telegram people were using to coordinate aid efforts. Blatant insubstantial bullshit.

I'd almost be okay with that. yeah. I know. things are going to shit.

The world would be a better place if they were.

I dunno. I’m not gonna say “all republicans”… mostly because I haven’t met all of them.

[–] Deceptichum@kbin.social 5 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

You don’t have to meet them all if you know their values.

Like I don’t need to meet a Nazi to know I hate them.

This is a group based purely on ideology, you can hate on that freely.

What about all republicans that have public office right now?

[–] ghostdoggtv@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

The heads of the Republican party are all engaged in conspiracy against the United States, it's just politically incorrect to criminally prosecute your civil opponent.

Disgusting. Cowards who help starve millions of people because they’re afraid of what others might say of them. But hypocrites too since they turn a blind eye to whatever Israel does with the weapons given to them.

I mean... seriously...

Who gave Trump the Grays Sports Almanac?

Coulda been "Bernie-Backed" or "Khanna-Backed", and the DNC would have a candidate to present.

Nah. This totally "Biden-Backed".

Genocidal Joe, ahem, "I can wear sunglasses DARK BRANDON!!!!!! WOOOOO!!!!!", is totally primed to win the liberal vote.

Biff was literally a Trump parody in that movie.
