Look for official press releases or journalists who are based in (and report from) the region for news. Don't look at reddit, tt, ig, or any other social media solely for information about the situation.
Edit: and please for the love of God don't take western sources (bbc, AP, the guardian, aljezeera, CNN, etc.) at face value. They don't tell you what is actually going on, they tell you how the west will react.
