I first learned this when exploring a particular Zelda dungeon.
It's a bit more problematic in Zelda as Zelda games had a tendency so far to have come out after WW2
Wasn't the one in Zelda oriented differently to resemble the manji instead of the Nazi swastika?
You know what they say:
If it's straight, you're peaceful mate.
If it's askew, they hate the Jew.
Which is honestly a common misunderstanding. Just depends on context. Some temples that I have gone to have several banners/paintings with the swastika at various angles.
