🦆 what's the name for the logical fallacy of incorrectly calling something "no true scotsman"
I wasn't making a generalisation about the identity of leftists, I was saying that "[PC enthusiasts using the term 'master race' to refer to themselves represents] no glorifying of Nazism" is not a leftwing position. this distinction is possible because "left wing" has definitions beyond just "what people who call themselves 'leftwing' think", like promoting social equality, and fighting entrenched hierarchies.
having some leftwing views (and taking leftwing actions, which, nice, thank you for your service, I've done a lot more than shout at someone, get teargassed, or go to a pride march, not saying you don't get an opinion though…) doesn't automatically make your support for using the term "master race" less rightwing.
anyway, "I'm as left as I fucking want to be" is a lot less ridiculous a thing to say than "I'm as left as they come".
PS yes I know mitchell and webb, they're not amazing, "are we the baddies" is definitely a lot better satire than "pc master race" tho.
