You're not wrong, but the prior comment references "morale issues" which is different from "moral issues" or morality in general. The former is about the troops feeling of well-being and optimism (morale) and the latter is about ethics and right vs wrong (morality).

Yeah this is the ridiculous thing about the EPA, we could really use more small trucks but they're going to have to be electric to get anywhere in the market. With the current footprint based fuel economy standards there's no incentive to actually build more efficient small trucks.

That's the problem with you car people, wasteful acceleration and high speed maneuvers are considered important. And unlike a sports car I can actually use my truck to get things done. /s

I guess we live in different worlds 'cause it turns out I need to carry large items or pull a trailer far more often than I find myself needing to take a corner at high speed or floor the gas. Maybe we just have different definitions of utility as I don't race or run away from things ¯(ツ)/¯

At 0% interest the cost of your money is nothing, so you save nothing by paying it off early. you will be better off taking your extra money and putting it towards other debts (1st) or investing them (2nd). In fact, even if you do nothing with you extra money now you will still come out ahead because of the future value of the dollar decreasing with inflation.
