Regardless of the success (or failure) of the blackout what's important is to create an alternative platform to Reddit. The blackout doesn't have much legs because of the lack of alternative. Deep inside we all know that many will just go back to reddit once the blackout will end - it's why the importance of creating an alternative.

Hence the "Pro" designation - it was 100% obvious that one was coming. The real question is what will Apple compromise to get a lower cost Vision to the masses?

It's because it's using Ubi's Open World engine - all they do is swap out voices/sound and art. Outlaws is basically a Far Cry/Assassin's Creed Star Wars Theme.

Product reviews, restaurant recommendations (regional searches on Reddit for Vacationing/etc was awesome), tourist recommendations - this was the truly useful part of Reddit that will take Lemmy a very long time to catch up to.
