I was actually scrolling through to see if anyone posted anything about the outage hahaha. Do they make announcement posts to warn about an outage for Lemmy version updates?

Right on man! Cybersecurity is such a cool thing, I'm on the software engineering side of things but looking at how to break software has always intrigued me. Good luck!!

That is so spot on! I've not met so many people that have had bunnies but I basically grew up with them.

I feel the same way! I used to only lurk on reddit, I had an account for years and only made a couple of comments. On here I'm commenting and engaging more because I want to do my part to make the community grow. I really want to see this succeed because as a dev myself, seeing what reddit did to third party devs, to the dev of Apollo, I refuse to support that in any way, not with my data or with my time. I might make an attempt to piece together lemmy android app or see about contributing to Jerboa soon before my fall semester of school begins. I truly wish for this platform to grow

Brought back PTSD from when I took a mainframe assembler course a few semesters ago, I still get anxiety if I see that professors name in my student email inbox.

Thank you for posting that, really happy to see so many subs supporting the effort. Hope more will join too but regardless of the outcome, I think I'm staying on lemmy, the interactions here feel different than those on reddit and I enjoy that

I was mostly on reddit for the information I got from the niche communities I joined. Posts regarding GPU passthrough for virtual machines, the configurations people used, problem solving for those virtual machines, I loved all of it. I only lurked though, very very rarely did I even comment, on here I'm trying to be more active. I'm hoping that as communities grow, I can get the same information I got from the reddit subs I lurked on

Man it's been a while since I heard that title. This game definitely has a special place in my heart, the soundtrack too, such intense nostalgia for me

I almost bought the early play version of diablo 4, took a lot for me not to buckle. Im going to wait before buying starfield, see how the release goes, hoping the game is a huge success because the latest gameplay sure got my attention
