Yeah I'm sorry if this is insensitive but a lot of this sounds like common cultural expectations for women from east Asian backgrounds. You guys could probably have a discussion about how you understand gender roles and how her upbringing might have informed her.

That's mostly true in America, where recycling usually is (like everything else) a for profit initiative.

Youth unemployment is already really high in China. With deflation, you could expect unemployment to also rise in other age groups.

My knowledge might be outdated but my understanding is that maglev is still unreliable and frequently breaks down or has to operate at slower speeds. Not yet a completely mature technology I think... but very interesting for sure.

Paper/cardboard recycling is also mature technologically and a net benefit for the environment.
