you didn’t expect the complete denial of religion for oneself being a sin of following a religion??? the whole point of following a religion is following that religion. not following it is in large part a sin. of course there are exceptions, but if we are speaking about judaic religions (the most common use of the word sin), literally not following the religion is a sin.

y’all didn’t learn any history about the bible or historical religious texts and it shows.

christian or not, religious or not, the bible is one of the most irrefutable pieces of historical evidence we have. period. the religious things and callings you can leave out if you aren’t christian, that’s fine. but jesus was 100% a person and what he said is difficult if not impossible to argue existence over. doesn’t mean you have to believe in what he claimed, but he existed. and that’s just history.

well of course there were horse drawn carriages and even just jumping on someone’s camel or horse or whatever else was probably a thing. but before driving as a paid service, i doubt it was called a taxi or anything like we call it today or since the invention of the automotive. 1635 was the first horse-drawn carriage as a paid service in england at least. without doing more research i’d assume you would just ask to ride with someone and offer money as compensation. something we see today as how taxi service is known, but hardly the oldest concept in civilization when civilization spans back thousands upon thousands of years before the last 500 or even thousand years we are talking about right now.

what i’m saying is that the concept of how a taxi functions, yes no refuting it’s existence for as long as civilizations and something to ride has existed. but the word or an equatable older word that transitioned into the modern word of taxi or cab? not even close to as old as civilization existence.

oldest concepts in civilization? when the first steam powered automotive capable of human transportation was in 1769? and didn’t really gain popularity or actual usage until the 1800s?

i mean yeah that’s near the beginning of the US and also around the time other western countries gained freedom from european slave rule (haiti, 1804; mexico 1821; DR 1844; Canada 1867, but not adopting full legal freedom until 1900s). but for the most part, most every civilization is hundreds if not thousands of years older.

you know what’s an older concept than taxi? water. or help.

kind of. from the research i did, the lawyer team can take up to 25% of that. so up to 180 million. and then there’s 8 plaintiffs that get 15,000 each. the leftover is divided amongst claimants. but i recommend anyone with a couple minutes (the submit claim form is very short) to fill out the claim. it shows bigger companies that people are actually doing their due diligence in keeping them in line. while i would love for very little people to claim so i can get a boatload, the point of these class actions, while compensation is good, is deterrence towards that company treating their consumers/customers like that again.

“The gangs are only a problem because the US says they are a problem”

entirely false.

i won’t necessarily say anything about the UNs involvement and whether it should or should not happen. i have mixed feelings in regards to helping out a country vs the helping actually hurting. they are both true and possible outcomes.

but you do realize the number of people killed this year in haiti due to the gang is around the average yearly civilians killed per year under papa docs regime? this gang is a big problem for haiti. they are in economic and political free fall right now and a gang is capitalizing on that by terrifying the entire nation

idk how much you know about haiti or if you are haitian yourself, but my family lived in haiti and left due to this gang. they stayed for a long time when everyone else around them who could was leaving. but one night, this same gang shot over 300 people in a village less than 5 minutes away from my parents village, and they knew they had to leave.

gangs and danger have always been big in haiti. they are in every country, some just more well-hidden than others. but this is not equatable to that.

nah not phrasing it wrong i don’t think! i don’t mean to hate. i’ve never heard of that before and would never have thought to add those ingredients together but i’m sure it’s good if made properly

i mean lemon water is still called water.

you don’t call apple juice apple water or sprite sprite water. i think the limiter is pretty naturally deferred in the naming of the drinks themselves.
