Finally someone else that uses Soulseek. It's been around for years and is the best place to download whole albums or discographies in high quality.

I've paid for Sync (I forget how many) years ago and have loved it since. I'm so happy you all are switching over and building a app for Lemmy.

Thanks for all you do!

This is hilarious. Thanks for this.

I have zero experience running any sort of moderation and fairly little time to do it myself. If anyone can help out it would be more than appreciated.

In my 30s, I came across Cormac's writing and was immediately drawn to his style. The Road, in particular, resonated with me after just having my son. Someone recommended it to me, and it just so happened to be shortly after my son was born, and I think it had a significant impact on the way I parent and interact with my children. He's definitely one of my favorite authors and definitely one of the most influential on my life.

I've had Blood Meridian on my Kindle for a while now, but haven't had the chance to read it yet. After hearing this news, I think I'll make it my next read.

Either way, you will be missed and thank you for staying with it even when you were destitute.

Well. Said.

McDonald's isn't the only company to pull off a retro-gaming-themed PR gambit today. Atari is also releasing a new game for the Atari 2600, an announcement that also served to drum up interest in its upcoming title Mr. Run and Jump. If Halliburton announces a new Sega Master System game about fracking in the next 24 hours, I'll know someone is messing with me.

I'm working on someone else's code right now and when I think I fixed one thing I break three more. I'm at the point where I just want to build this thing from scratch.

I don't know which one is gonna be more effort.

Exactly. These people ruined the country with opioids. They aggressively marketed and distributed these highly addictive drugs, leading to a nationwide epidemic.

Their greed for profits caused immense harm to countless families and communities. It's a shameful chapter in our history that must be acknowledged and addressed, but of course - it's just another day of business as usual.

I haven't finished the game yet, but Journey's OST is simply amazing.

"It could be devastating," said Joseph Steinfeld, an attorney representing individuals harmed by Mallinckrodt's pain medications. "It potentially could wipe out the whole settlement."

...

If Mallinckrodt files a second bankruptcy, payouts would likely go first to company executives, staff and other creditors, with opioid-related claims paid out last.

This crosses my mind at least a few times a week. Programming is pain.

Yep, and the the more you work on it, the more issues and problems you run into that you need to figure out.

Not to mention the more things you see that you try to get fancy on. Which ends up taking even more time/effort, because you can't let it beat you.

Sync is the only mobile app I've ever paid for, and it was worth every cent. This was the best app for me by a mile.

If it were to pivot to Lemmy I'd be ecstatic
