Yeah they were frustratingly bad systems. I was a huge bo3 fan and it made me really sad that I couldn't use any of the cool new guns because I had bad luck on the slot machines :(

IMO Advanced warfare was worse because it locked some guns behind the crates, and also locked a ton of "variants" behind crates that were objectively better than the base gun

Advanced warfare set the precedent. Black ops 3 made it slightly less of a slot machine, but it was still garbage.

Gecko is open source. They were saying it would be good to have a new FOSS browser engine that isn't Chromium or Gecko to add some competition to the mix

Godzilla (2014) was pretty good, except for Muto having that electromagnetic pulse weapon. Why would a biological evolutionarily develop such a thing? It's useless against Godzilla. in c/lemmyshitpost@lemmy.world

The EMP greatly impacted Godzilla's atomic breath. It's why it was so much weaker in the first movie compared to the sequels. Probably a retcon, but I think it fits.
