And awesome to see the restraint after Smith crumbled!

Nice to see Haqparast winning like that! In his prior 11 UFC fights he only had one KO win and one KO loss, otherwise all decisions. Maybe that sets a new spark in him.

I won't be staying up but looking forward to seeing if Gutierrez can keep up his leg kicking game against the cream of the crop.

That's nice, do you usually go?

Seems like we're half US and half Germany then, guessing from the usernames. Strange mix, but maybe that is just the general usership of Lemmy/Kbin.

I am not the most technically astute person, using Manjaro and the AUR for like five years and never had my system break. Yes, some package problems here and there, but where do you not have them ever? And so far nothing an internet search couldn't fix. I found it very stable both in the XFCE and the KDE spin.

Maybe you'll enjoy the instrumental versions of the last Rishloo album that the band (without the singer) originally released under the name The Ghost Apparatus. Like this one: https://invidious.nerdvpn.de/watch?v=65TMsLwTwSU

Where are you guys from btw? If there are fellow European DAZNers out here: Do give the Rajamdamnern Muay Thai shows a chance. There is quite a high prevalence of banger fights and I really like the genuinely hyped casters (and the Muay Thai background music of course – now that would be a fun experiment for MMA ;)).

For me it's definitely a book that often doesn't get much love: Spin by Robert Charles Wilson. I read that book like ten times by now in both English and my mother tongue. Such a defining book for me since I first read it in my youth and it gave me a lot of food for thought regarding what it means to live a meaningful life. It is not really hardcore sci-fi after all but more a kind of coming-of-age novel that happens to take place in a sci-fi setting.

Wtf haha, where does this come from? Googling only spits out variations of this meme and even the oldest ones already looked fried.

I like it for a quick overview. You just need to be aware that you have to check to full article if you find the summary interesting and really wanna save that information in your brain or do something with it.
