I liked them a lot before I read this. Now I like them even more (:

I remember getting their newsletter where they would regularly announce live shows in NYC. It's nice having live music on tap like that.

Never managed to catch them playing live, so I'm well jealous!

Anything Kristine Hersh has touched, especially 50 FOOT WAVE

You might like some of the output of Elysian Fields (Jennifer Charles, Oren Bloedow). Maybe in particular their earlier stuff, like their Bleed Your Cedar (1996) album:

They've made many a fantastic albums though, worth checking out.

Yes, thank you for adding that aspect. In general it behaves fantastically, but if a site misbehaves, you can disable it for specific sites by clicking the extension when on the page, and unticking the only box there.

I use Consent-O-Matic to automatically select "Reject all". It's an extension for both Firefox and Chrome, and I highly recommend it.

RIP Joey. It was a great app, and a great dev. I hope the dev goes on to build another banger.

I've been active on the Fediverse for 5 years or so via mastodon, but more so in the indieweb movement. It's nice to see more people get acquainted with it. It's a good place.

"I haven't listened to this album, but I don't like the instrumentation on song #3, and the way they play the drums."

Install the Duck Duck Go browser, and sign up for the "App Tracking Protection" beta in the settings. Once you are enabled for the beta. Enable it in the settings. It acts like a VPN on your device.

IDLJ.
