Yeah, fair enough, and good points! I also hope I can manage with the same phone until it stops receiving new updates, so not super thrilled to buy a new mobile phone just for that either, doesn’t make sense to me at all.

Thanks! Agreed that it has its purpose. I also fully understand people have a hard time understanding my viewpoint when they don’t share the same needs.
I did try donating for Lemmy through Liberapay using the link in this post but canceled the process when I saw that the money recipient was “peertube.social”, which I don’t use. I’d feel better donating if the money went to Lemmy and not Peertube.
The council of void kitties! 💜
It is not AI-generated, I sadly don’t have the original one, but only the one I saved from Facebook before deleting my account. It was captured using my iPhone 6s back in 2016, maybe I had used the portrait photo mode that creates the horrible faux depth effect bubble.
I did consider Asus ROG Ally and Valve’s Steam Deck, both seem like an excellent choice assuming you have an interest in other things as well, but those didn’t seem too plug-and-play with the PlayStation 5, since it’s the only system I use.
I did play through Labyrinth of Galleria 1 with my phone's remote play, but its display is small and I mainly play games such as visual novels so a bigger screen of the Portal is nice. I also didn’t like various context distractions such as random robo calls in the middle of a cut scene.
I play a lot of games that aren’t as sensitive to input latency, games such as Disgaea, Persona, and various visual novels. So it works great for my purposes. I haven’t tried it outside my home network yet, though.
And right after giving her the empty box, she tried for a good part of an hour to squeeze into that sleeve.
Her frustration was captured with the iPhone 12 pro
What a beautiful fluff, RIP❤️
I mean when I navigate to the Lemmy’s donation page and proceed with setting up a recurring payment, my bank asks for confirmation of the transaction. During this, my bank identifies the recipient as “PeerTube.social”. I find it a bit confusing, but I guess the other Lemmy founder also owns peertube.
