I ended up tracking down an AMA where someone asked about this very feature and a year ago they said it was "definitely" in the pipeline but no ETA was mentioned. Would be great to see it but I'll happily let them cook at their own pace.

a daily challenge with a leaderboard a la Slay the Spire with randomized run parameters would be so fun. that would become my subway crossword.

I guess it would have to be "unlockable" so as not to spoil any of the unlocked cards etc? that's the only bit of friction I can think of - StS has "rare" cards but nothing the player needs to unlock.

been skimming thru some essays and whatnot by David Smail, who was a practising clinical psychologist in Britain - I really like his breakdowns of the suspect incentives and broken assumptions underlying a lot of the practices and his overall takes largely resonate with me, since he passed in the 90s, has there been anyone else of note working in this kind of direction?
