I like SchildiChat the most, since it has a nice UI and supports both E2EE and calls.

It's...hard to argue with that.

  • Subsribe to TheLinuxExperiment
  • Install vanilla Arch Linux using archinstall or a third-party helper script
  • Install vanilla Arch Linux using either a guide or the wiki
  • Play around with other distributions, such as Debian and Fedora
  • Play around with special distributions, such as Devuan (which doesn't use systemd), Alpine (which doesn't use glibc), Dragora (which uses Linux-libre), Arch Hurd (which uses rms' Hurd kernel), or even a BSD (which does not use the Linux kernel).

I've seen this enough times that I laughed without watching it. Funny stuff.

Not a bad idea, tbh

Alpine, mainly. It's not bad on desktop.

That possibly counts as gore, regardless of whether the drugs are recreational or medicinal. However, there will be exceptions.

I quite like 4get, but SearXNG is probably closer to what you want.

Since you're using Edge, I'll assume you're running Windows. In that case, I'd recommend either Librewolf or ungoogled-chromium.

I, myself, use Mullvad Browser and Links2, but they're not quite as good for new users.

I [18NB] am starting uni in Edinburgh, Scotland tomorrow. Since I'll be living a good distance away from home, I was thinking of buying some pride merch and stuff.

However, it has crossed my mind that safety could be an issue. I wouldn't have thought that Edinburgh would have issues, but I think it's best to ask Lemmy: On the whole, is Edinburgh a safe place to be myself?

Don't let the title fool you! This is not anti-FOSS!

EDIT: Added soft- to the title, since it was pissing people off. Maybe I'm still wrong. Idk, it's just a meme.

Hey, all. I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7, and I would like to install a custom Android ROM on it. After a bit of research, my two options are LineageOS and Murena (aka /e/OS).

Does one have any advantages over the other? Or is it simply a matter of preference?

UPDATE: You will need a machine running Windows 10 or higher in order to successfully flash either ROM!
