This might be my only chance to get a smaller sized iPhone going forward. Love my 13 mini, but it seems like Apple is only going to keep increasing screen size on future models.

I just got and am obsessed with UnderMine, an adorable roguelite dungeon crawler a la Binding of Isaac. Currently on sale for $5!

Any idea when the official launch will be? I know Testflight is pretty easy to set up, but I'll probably wait till I can get v 1.0.

I hope this means the Mac version is coming soon!

Honestly, I'm fine with this. I think most applications will be generally stationary experiences, and there's no reason this can't be adjusted or Apple introduce an "active mode" in the future for cases where it's needed.

What I'm happy about is not having to physically define or draw a boundary every time the headset is used. My Quest often loses track of its boundary and needs to have it redrawn.

Tesla has released all the specifications, so other charging manufacturers can include NACS cables on their charging stations. Several have already indicated an intent to do so.

What Tesla will charge for is access to their charger network, which is probably fair since it costs a lot of money to build and maintain the network.

I for one am very glad to hear this news because the supercharger network is Tesla's one remaining big competitive advantage, and I'll be glad to see all the other car companies more on equal footing with them.

Where your account is hosted and which communities you subscribe to doesn't have to overlap at all. For instance, I'm on VLemmy but almost all of my subbed communities are on Beehaw.

I also think it may be a feature rather than a bug to have multiple communities for each topic. Each individual community can build its own sense of identity, guidelines, and norms. I'm personally feeling refreshed by the smaller volume of posts and comments in a way that encourages me to engage. Reddit had become very passive for me due to the sheer size of everything.

Can't express how unbelievably excited I am for this! These two concepts mix perfectly.

I think one of the big differences will be with the speakers. If they make the standard model require AirPods, they can eliminate speakers entirely and save significantly on cost.

Another possibility is moving from metal to plastic for the frame design. This saves on cost and weight. They could also take out the 3D camera.

I strongly believe they won't compromise on the display resolution or the EyeSight feature, though it's possible they'll be able to fake the lenticular effect using software and opt for a simpler outward-facing display.

Agreed. This is the one suggestion I think the article gets wrong – Apple has established this display resolution as the minimum for an immersive experience, and I don't think they'll go down from here.

What I was surprised to see not considered is materials choice. I think Apple could do plastic for a non-Pro Vision device, to save on weight and cost.

I also think the non-Pro version isn't coming until the second generation, at which point it will likely have most of the features of this Pro version while the Pro gets upgraded.

SUCH a huge improvement. Except, Steam will no longer allow me to move my window onto another monitor. It constrains it to my main monitor :/
