Thanks! I'll look into it.

Thanks! I didn't know about it. I like that is open source. I'd have to look into how to sync it with my computer.

Any features you think google tasks lacks? Do you use the free or the paid version of todoist?

I use it because I haven't yet found any alternative that works as well. Any recommendations?

I like your reasoning. This was absolutely my fault though, since I left it outside in 40°C degree weather (+100°F for Americans) knowing I wouldn't come back in a few days. I thought it would fare well since it's supposed to be a desert plant and I'd read they don't need to be watered each day. Screw that, from then on I water my succulents everyday in the summer, the weather here is brutal 😭

Anybody else really sensitive about their plants dying? I know they're not sentient, but still...

Originally, the succulent was the size of my palm. It had been doing great, but after leaving for a few days I came back to find it completely dried out except for the tip which still had a bit of green.

I can't stand when any of my plants die, I feel like I have failed them ☹️. So I took the tip, removed all the dried leaves and placed it in a new pot. The stem was dead too and the plant had zero roots in the middle of summer. I had to spray it with water constantly and be extremely careful until it rehydrated and grew some roots. Took a long time, but I'm glad it's healthy now!

Well then ur neighbors are so lucky because those look really good. I imagine they taste far better than any you can find at the store

Omg, what did you do with so many tomatoes?

Seriously, I've lost so muuuuch time just trying to find where some random program decides to store its config files. It sometimes takes me more time than actually "doing the config"

I honestly don't see it as an interview process. You just need to answer three questions. It takes less time than writing a post. I assume the intention is simply for the admins to make sure that at least you have read the server rules and understand what kind of community they're trying to build here.

I also think it's fine if most people can't be bothered to do that. There are other instances who will have them. And those instances will have to figure out how to deal with that. But it's fair for the admins of Beehaw to limit registrations, since they're the ones putting in the (free) work to keep all this running. I would argue they don't "need you more" or need anyone in particular, for that matter. It's not like they're a platform trying to turn a profit from their user numbers - unlike what we're accustomed to, sadly. They're just trying to make this a nice space - for everyone - to share stuff without the caveats of conventional social media.

As a new user, I really appreciate all the work the Beehaw admins do too keep this a safe space.

I think other big instances should consider adopting a similar registration process. At least until better mod tools are available. I feel like having to answer some questions and then wait for approval would deter many trolls.
