That's the beauty of these moves by China, no amount of money can solve the problems they create quickly. It took China, with its full resources of state planning, decades to build their supply chains to this point. Neoliberal capital simply can't compete with that. The US has never more been a paper tiger.

Check out the article in this post for the details.

What the person on hex said. They need to get an immigration lawyer. Hopefully there's pro bono legal services available in their state.

Hope you're doing ok under the circumstances. I can't help directly, but you might try Upwork while you're waiting on a real job.

I love that that's his "solution". As if China has any reason to build up the capacities of the malignant psychopath that is the US capitalist class.

The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) successfully targeted an E-2 command and control aircraft belonging to the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, a senior Sanaa government source told Al Mayadeen on Sunday.

According to the source, "The Truman lost command capabilities following the attack, while both the White House and the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) have launched an investigation into the incident."

I really like The Clash. Their politics are decent, but their music is amazing.

Do folks have any recommendations for who else to listen to? I'm open to most genres, and found Curtis Mayfield to be probably my second favorite artist. Thanks!

I saw a post about Firefox has been going downhill in terms of privacy protection, and figured it was time to take some action. I saw LibreWolf was a decent alternative, but wanted to go all the way and get my laptop off Mac OS while I was at it. So, after some difficulties, I installed Debian Linux and am writing my first post that's not from Jerboa on my phone!
