I generally use the Raspberry Pi Imager, It works just as well with USB's as TF cards.

Any platform that believes it should be their choice whether the user can opt-in to any part of the fediverse, is a big no from me.

I've only seen the cross-over episode on SNW, It's very much not my sense of humour but I'm happy for there to be more types of shows for more people, so long as I get my TNG style shows.

I'm sure they got better, but they never won me back, that original feeling of disappointment is still associated with the games for me.

I see references of previous Starfleet officers such as Worf or Captain Sysco;

With Worf the writers where careful to create a scenario where it was known and out in the open, that the only Federation law he broke was leaving the ship without authority, which he was officially reprimanded over. The actions he took on the Klingon vessel were considered lawful in and of itself.

Captain Sysco's may be more relevant and example, but to me it felt more like a necessary decision for the benefit of future outcomes. To compare this to SNW S02E08, I don't feel they outlined that he was a future threat to anyone, that being said I am undecided on the Sysco comparison.

I have also seen reference to Captain Picard's assimilation, but to me that one is not appropriate as it was against his will.

In regards to Dr M'Benga killing the diplomat?

I supposed this is two questions, whether a federation doctor should have been written to have killed a person as well as how Captain Pike / Starfleet should handle it in Season 3.

I'm looking at the ASRock PG27FF1A 27โ€ FHD IPS 165Hz FreeSync Premium monitor, the price is in AUD so it's closer to $125 before tax.

I am content with 1080p at 27', it's what I am currently using and my 3050 laptop isn't appropriate to increase the resolution. My laptop has HDMI 2.1 output.

Usenet is paid, usually 2+ subscriptions, a Usenet/backbone provider + an indexer.

That's how it should work, but many services have been increasing pricing with email warnings for the last decade.

My friend has PS+ and it has multiplied in price for 3-month intervals without him ever confirming the new price. He's had it for a decade without touching it and genuinely wouldn't know he's being charged so much more than he agreed to if I didn't tell him.

This is in Australia which normally has better protections for consumers, but it's possible we don't in this case as it's happened to me with every subscription I've ever had they send a n email and then start charging an amount I never agreed to.

The only exception was AEW+ via Fite.tv which was in USD, that was the only time I ever lost my sub when the price changed, which given it went up +40% I was glad they handled it respectfully.

We would need Google to aggregate instances together for the benefit of search results, but the host instance is great to see.

Maybe when Reddit removes indexer access, Google may put some effort towards replacing it, but I wouldn't give my hopes up waiting for Google Search to get better.

The laptop is a Dell G15 5515 Ryzen Edition 3050-4GB | 5600H | 16GB 3200Mhz

The laptop has a 120Hz panel which is okay, but too small and awkward, I generally play on my mechanical keyboard in front of the monitor for better neck/joint support. I am happy with my overall setup, I would just like a full 120+ on the monitor and I have been watching HDR content scaled down via Plex to 8bit.

Not a big budget in mind, this is what I am looking at.

Acer Nitro KG272 S3 27" FHD VA 180Hz

The price in AUD, which is $127 USD before tax.

I am currently using a 3050 laptop / 5600H connected to my 1080p/60hz Acer from 2014. What I like about this monitor is it looks exactly the same and is the same size, it will be swapped with the existing VESA mount.

I cannot find any official documentation, some websites don't list it as HDR10 at all, I also find that regional variants can be very different. Some information shows this to be IPS, but I also can't find that out for sure, I also don't understand if that would be better/worse for high refresh rate. I am also on the assumption that 180Hz is really 165Hz with a possible OC I won't be using.

I will be playing at 1080p and can handle my games at 120+, the HDR10 will be a boost. I had thought that HDR400 was the dodgy spec, but now I am reading negative remarks about anything below HDR600, I thought HDR10 was genuine 10bit.

This is the best price in my regional stores and can be picked up locally.

In the listing, it specifies 250 cd/mยฒ which I assume is important.

I haven't made a new thread weekly exactly, but with the amount of activity it might need to be fortnightly, here's another recommendations thread.

Let everyone know below a game (6+ months old), that you have played recently, are currently playing or intend to play soon.

I'm looking for a a manga that came out in April 2009, It contains 4 different Star Trek TNG stories called;

  • Changeling

Picard assigns newly commissioned Ensign Wesley Crusher to his first away mission. What follows is an amusing lesson in humility for a newbie ensign who's just a little too full of himself. Stardate 43903.2 Trade paperback anthology of manga-style Star Trek: The Next Generation tales. Edited by Luis Reyes and Bryce P. Coleman. ISBN 9781427812728, 5 in X 7.5 in, 192pp, b&w.

  • Sensation

Answering a distress call from an archeological expedition, Crusher and Troi must find the cause of a disease affecting expedition staff that ultimately begins to spread among the crew of the Enterprise. Stardate 44389.2

  • The Picardian Knot

The captain's emotional state is in question following an aborted assassination attempt by a Romulan officer. Stardate 43920.9

  • Loyalty

While Picard is recuperating from his assimilation by the Borg, Riker is called to a secret meeting. Senior Starfleet officers want to sideline Picard and put Riker in command of the Enterprise. The first officer mounts an emotional defense of his captain, with some surprising help from Commander Shelby. Stardate 44012.3

There was also an October 2020 reprint called Star Trek: The Manga - Boukenshin.

Star Trek Graphic Novel Collection Volume 135. Hardcover reprint published in the UK.

More information about it is here & here here.

I have looked at GetComics & LibGen, neither have it, libgen has only a single 2006 TOS manga. I have a usenet subscription if that is helpful. As per the instance rules, I'm not looking for a specific link, I should be able to figure what direction to look next with a point in the right direction.
