According to the comment above, added functionality that's not present in the original like adult sites. It was based off Tachy and now just moved to Mihon as the base.

Try using the Mycroft Project that the page mentioned, it's got user maintained search engine plugins.

I'm not sure which build of firefox the other user is using, but in the stable stock build I can't add it in settings page itself either.

But if you go to a website that can do search, eg. Startpage, then right click on the browser's url bar again, a new option to add the search engine pops up at the end of the context menu.

Another alternative is installing addons that adds the search engine too, I believe duckduckgo & Startpage has theirs.

Here's firefox's docs about it - it's got screenshots of how it looks.

Edit: Ah, I see you've tried it already - probably plugins are the next easiest way to go about it then :( The docs do give a direction though of where to go, like repositories of supported sites.

There are much easier trackers to get into that doesn't require this much prereading prior.

Private trackers (not the biggest ones though) do open signups from time to time too (ie no interview no vetting, just sign up), so look out for those.

The most important thing is if you're into the content offered on the site - RED's only attractive if you're an audiophile for instance, it doesn't have movies/games etc. Get a name, then find out from there how to get into it. Read the rules on how not to get into leecher status almost immediately once you get in. Once you get your foot into an easier tracker that at least has some content you're into, then make your way up if you want more.

Probably through that weird crypto thing lol, they still have ad revenue with their rewards system.

Phone models sold in China (even iphones) have had dual sim capabilities for a long time before eSims were a thing. I mean like 2 physical sim card slots in a phone. Adoption of eSims isn't much of a necessity when the phone itself already can carry 2 sims by default.

On the other hand American phone models only ever had the one sim card slot. It's a bit strange that eSims haven't been as widely adopted.

IIRC in mastodon if the other instance deletes itself, all links to it in other instances will also get nuked. Is that also the case for lemmy?

Not sure if it's just a setting that I'm missing, but a button to jump to the next parent comment would be a great QOL addition.

And on that note I couldn't figure how to search this sub to see if this had been requested before given it's a pretty basic feature in every reddit client I've used. Maybe it's a lemmy limitation.

Love the app, already one of the most used apps on my phone like Apollo was.

Didn't you need to pay a sub to access Stadia & purchase the game on top of that? Or was that just for a more premium tier of Stadia.

Like buying expansions to WoW, pay for the expansions & pay the sub to play the game.

The cyberpunk fiasco was a perfect time to have pushed it, too bad they didn't try to ride the waves of being the best place to play one of the most anticipated games of the decade (I know it was a disastrous launch, but the hype leading up to it for years was on a whole other dimension).

It appears to be so - I personally don't have an iPad to check. Strange decision to omit it in that particular mode given it's a parallel to iPhone keyboards, so I'd have to assume it was a deliberate omission. User experience (too many grandparents triggering it by accident)? Who knows.

Now we know we have to pinch it to make it float and then slide that way. TIL!

But if you're using a newer iPhone, definitely able to slide as long as the owner haven't turned it off.

My guess is something android related since all of those links to android apps.

Absolutely agree with you about acronym usage in a common forum, it's aggravating.

What's wrong with Kodi - it has a lot of skins you can use to change the appearance to look like streaming services'

...If it's because it's a mess to use, totally get you lol, but if you're willing to arrange & rename the files to be scanned properly then kodi works pretty well as an offline media library.

Unfortunately no easy way about it :(

You can sorta increase keyboard size by going into accessibility settings > display to increase text size as a whole.

As for additional number line on iPhones, not possible without third party keyboard afaik, but there's a couple tricks (link to reddit comment) to speed up typing numbers. iPad has the number line in their keyboard.

I'm just used to not having these features in exchange for generally much better integration of autofill passwords etc. I have an android tablet to compare with & it's a pain to have to switch over to a dedicated keyboard to access my passwords & back because swiftkey borks it most of the time (I use keepass as a password manager). The keyboard also auto-detects those pesky SMS OTPs, which is a small convenience but surprisingly satisfying to not have to flip apps/squint at the number in my notifs to slowly input it. Pros & cons I guess.
