Lol I don't use discord much but I'd love to ditch WhatsApp. I just know people won't use anything else

I'm using jerboa for android from f-droid (not sure if it's on play store).
Has some teething issues but otherwise works well
You can use the same account to view and comment on posts from mastodon from what I understand (very little)

I tried mastodon, saw it was like twitter and left it well alone lol. Lemmy feels much more reddit like and reddit was the only social media I used.
