I love this little renaissance of simple games. Card games, bullet hells, arcade staples like this, it's nice that you don't have to sink 200+ hours in a game anymore to appreciate something that's finely crafted and most of all fun to play.

It's fun, really unique fighting games based around swords and has one hit kills.

Cool, I wanted to play bushido blade on the system link myself.

I always wanted to do the system link with two psones as a kid but I didn't know anyone who had the thing for it.

Back when it first launched the psx was $300. Now the cost of it's online service is nearing that.

I'm guessing the modern ones are rechargeable? idk I just wanted the classic nostalgia bait of the old gen 2 tama with the watch battery and no backlit led screen.

A tama never dies...until the watch battery runs out then it's gone forever!

It's yet to hatch from it's egg, so I'm waiting patiently. Dirt Owl, I know you love these little guys so tell me what you think. 🤓

Full disclosure, I've beaten oblivion and I have some nostalgia for it but it's just so funny to me that bethsoft games 90% of the time are platforms for masturbation material.

Wanking and cranking my big ol' hog just thinking about the "better titties and ass for kawaii anime bodies" mods that're going to be worked on TODAY.

I've been playing old formats against the ai and it's super beginner friendly (just started playing and collecting the game 2 weeks ago). Edopro let's you enforce custom rules so you can play any era of yugi from 2002 all the way up to today if you want. It's been fun learning the ropes of the game and playing decks from 2002, when the tcg first came to the west.

If anyone wants to play me and my janky 2002 tribal deck, lmk and we can set something up!

I've been messing around with edopro and importing decks off ygoprodeck. I'm trying to get used to playing older simpler formats like critter and goat to learn the flow of the game. It's fun! So much easier to play than mtg, imo, as it's mostly a game about attacking with monsters and trying to do as much damage as possible in a turn.

So if you got some tips and tricks for me or other formats I should check out please let me know.

You ever fuck around and get a high score worth more than all the planets in the universe?

Someone also wrote a save handler for the games so it saves your deck and won cards.

I know next to nothing about the game outside the manga which I read a little bit in some shonen jump issues I had back in high school. It's super easy to play, much easier than magic the gathering I've found, but like all good games has depth and is hard to master.

Harkens back to the pokemon tcg game on the gameboy. Like I said it's super WIP with only a couple bots to battle against but the core mechanics of building a deck and playing via the rules are all there.

Here's the author's forum post about it on another site.

I had some pokemon cards growing up but I never like went to card shops and played people so this is right up my alley as a total newb.

Anyone else try out this game? I, uh, purchased it off a website 100% legally and I'm enjoying it. Blackjack is an easier game for my peanut monke brain to handle than balatro's poker and ridiculous multipliers where sometimes I need to bust out the calculator to make sure I can clear a blind. I am also really bad at math so there's that too.

I'm really enjoying the little renaissance of card games in the indie scene. The other day I downloaded forge the magic the gathering simulator to muck around and and learn how to play.

raised fist joker is sick! Gonna use that as my banner image.
