Definitely adds to the challenge, but forces us to talk through the levels so that we move together.

I'm having a great time with it. My wife and I are going through it together. Local multiplayer works great.

Having played various Mario games starting with NES I really enjoy the side-scrolling retro feel.

I'm running Windows ARM just fine with parallels on my M1 MBP. Haven't had any issues, even weird legacy software that needs serial drivers works fine. MS did a great job with the ARM version of Windows.

Your expectations around price are unrealistic unfortunately.

And you can use a terminal with stock Android. Although you'll probably need to root it to do anything useful.

When have I bitched about Linux? I've had a great experience with Mint, Debian, and Ubuntu. I use Linux, Windows and MacOS on a regular basis.

Some people just like to complain. Can't fix that.

There are generic printer drivers that work fine on windows too. You generally don't need to get the manufacturers bloated driver/utility/update/subscription package. Also that's not really the OS' fault, it's the shitty printer vendors.

Personally I feel it's worth it. If you stick with a name brand like Samsung you will get a long life out of it. The loading times are noticeably faster on SSDs.
