Reading through the replies and I have to say ya'll don't take prisoners here. sheesh.

Anyway, I went through went through the community in question and reviewed not only the posts in the community and the comments made by the mods of the community and they weren't aligned with the kind of negativity I want to see on the instance. I have since purged the community and the mods.

Hey all,

This community is being reviewed and will likely be a discussion point to in our Agora community where we discuss about issues like this as a community.

Post that are breaking rules will be removed. If its a regular occurrence so will the TheDonald community. Please continue reporting inappropriate posts and its difficult to maintain visibility on everything that is going on at all times.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Is there a website that is available that tracks all this information publicly?

I use Mlem on ios. Still really early but it gets significantly better with every new release

Common Fortigate, do better. I really love your firewall.

Throughout my IT career when it came to troubleshooting mail delivery problems I typically always started with this website over the years some of the servers stopped working for me which lead me to start looking to create something similar but with python (and potentially incorporate it pyscript). I've only gotten about 25% done and now always I don't seem to have as much time to wire in and continue working on it but eventually I'm hoping to get something like this going again and potentially host it for the world to use.

No matter the outcome, you are still a hero. Kudos to you.

This is really cool! Do you have you code on github? How are you handling pictures? I noticed that the way obsidian and hugo do it are different (obsidian adds it in the same working folder while hugo has a specific folder to store images)

Kudos to you for thinking out of the box and seeking solutions to making your job more efficient! I hope your employer knows about it and values this knowledge you have.

If you dont mind me asking, whats your job title?

With r/python out for the next 48 hours, here’s a post to promote continuing discussion a language we all love. Python.

A little story that goes along with this image. I asked my wife to give me a prompt of anything to have an AI generate an image. This is what she came up with:

A desert taco with ice cream and chocolate drizzle and topped with sprinkles next to a desert burrito filled with bananas and peanut butter topped with strawberries and English cream

She has since left the home and I fear I might have to pick her up at the local desert shop.

I don't disagree with videos not being hosted on lemmy itself however I think there needs to be some more complete solutions.

For example one solution could be to build an API integration with the peertube platform and provide a method within the users profile to setup the API integration with their preferred peertube service. We want to avoid as much as possible people having to leave one platform to do a task on another platform to than come back to the original platform to post a link. This will discourage a lot of people from posting a lot their content due to it being not unified.

Does Lemmy have another location aside from their issues to post future feature requests? I couldn't find a proper place to share some constructive feedback.

Lemmy makes it pretty simple to upload pictures currently but what about videos? I found this issue posted in 2022 about integrating a video service but nothing really came from it. Does Lemmy have a road map to solve this issue? I feel like this will be an important part in Lemmy's adoption
