Came here to suggest Unbound too!

I'm the same way (also have ADHD). I love Subnautica*'s underwater gameplay and alien moon aesthetic, but I can only really play it in Creative Mode since I really like building bases and exploring without worrying about resources and dying.

(* I have Below Zero instead because I like the snowy aesthetic and playing as a girl ๐Ÿ˜…)

Cassette Beasts is so good.

I'm not hopeful. I've already seen centrists and pundits saying that Harris lost because she's "too progressive" and that Dems need to move further right.

Given Dems' track record, I'm dreading 2028 is going to be JD Vance versus fucking RFK Jr. or Joe Manchin. At least the only silver lining out of THAT shitshow will be seeing the Democratic Party completely implode after completely alienating their voter base to become a carbon copy of the Republican Party (while Repub voters just keep voting R) and hopefully pave ground for an actual progressive party replace them, but that will hardly offset the horrors of 8 years of unrestrained fascism (assuming the left wins in 2032 ๐Ÿฅฒ)

To be fair, Stirner was a pretty cool dude, so I get why :p

Yeah. I pretty much have to play it with mods that double/triple the daytime length, or I just feel perpetual anxiety over not being able to get anything done in a day.

This was a great review, thank you for sharing. I've been meaning to play Fallout 4, but as someone who loved the worldbuilding of New Vegas, the story puts me off.

What I'd really like is a mod that removes the game's main storyline, so I can either focus on the adventuring/settlement-building aspects (thus turning the game into a sandbox), or combine it with good story mods and basically have them replace FO4's main questline. The only mod I know that does it is Fallout London. (I really need to figure out how to run it on Linux...)

Do you happen to know or recommend anything that fits with what I'm looking for?

I never heard of it, I'm intrigued now. Do you remember what it was called?

I really need to get more into Project Zomboid, I really love its Sims-like aesthetic and early 90s setting. But the whole zombie apocalypse thing quite scares me since I'm pretty terrified of the idea of being eaten alive by a zombie horde and then becoming a zombie @_@ (the end of the tutorial shook me to my core, lol)

I actually made a little "modpack" collection and sandbox game mode that turns it from a zombie apocalypse game to something more like Silent Hill (replacing zombies with eldritch entities, and making them spawn less frequently and move slower, but be far more resistant to damage), since that ironically makes the game less terrifying for me and more manageable to play ๐Ÿ˜… (plus I quite like liminal spaces in general, which is something I wanted to replicate with the mod collection)

This is currently me with modded Kerbal Space Program and Cities: Skylines lol

I spent the whole day flashing the MiyooCFW firmware onto it, customizing the menus, and testing which games ran well and which didn't (and constantly trying and failing to get Doom to run on it); I think I'm pretty happy with the end results now.

Hey folks, I've lurked on this community for a while now but haven't really posted anything until today. Sorry if this isn't really the right place to ask questions like this, but since this is a place for old games, I felt it'd be the most appropriate one...

I've been wanting to re-live some of the games I used to play as a child, and I remember how, back in 2004-2006, there was this Spider-Man game I used to play as a kid but could never beat. Lately I've been curious if I could finally do it now.

All I remember about it were three missions:

  • The first mission was some sort of "tutorial", where you'd have to use the web ability to swing across buildings and pass through a certain amount of these glowing green spider icons to clear the level.
  • The second(?) mission was about some robbers/thieves stealing a bank's armoured car and you had to capture all of them.
  • The third(?) mission was some sort of boss fight against a powerful guy who was apparently helping the thieves. I never got past this fight, he would always grab me - when he grabbed Spider-Man, I couldn't really do anything, he's just keep holding him and grunting occasionally; there might've been a key combination to break free from his grasp, but I didn't know at the time and always assumed it was game over and that I had to restart.

I understand this is really vague, but my memories of this game are incredibly vague and I barely recall much more. I remember I played it on a computer at least. I couldn't find anything like it on Wikipedia's pages on Spider-Man games, so I'm wondering if it might've been an unofficial game or something like that?

I'm not joking, I actually hate April Fools and I am NOT looking forward to tomorrow...

Sad thing is, I'd actually like April Fools if people made actually funny jokes with it, but instead it's always the same thing over and over with Discord mods thinking pinging everyone just for the sake of it is going to be funny

I wanted to play Test Drive Unlimited 2 multiplayer with the TDU World mod, but since I'm not one of the lucky few who owned the game back in the day (I was still a teenager when they shut down the game) I have to pirate it. Unfortunately, the tool required to do it while working with TDUWorld, 80_PA (https://github.com/Blaukovitch/80_PA ), doesn't want to work through Wine as it crashes immediately.

It's a long shot, but has anyone here used it?
