Over events like this, both for US and EU/Europe, the people's reaction to the pandemic, the wars ect. I came to the conclusion, that there must be two distinct kinds of human.

They can interact, even have children between the groups. But they will never understand the way, the other group is thinking.

From the perspective of group member A everything B does is stupid, dangerous and treason.

But the reunification of Germany was literally 'alternativlos' (without alternatives).

This does not say, it was implemented perfectly or even okay. But in the moment of time it happened, I think the great majority of actors really tried to do the right things.

They mishandled thia greatly. Having trouble for a week or two and not telling what happened on day one.

Good that we already ditched them for our Windows people. The reason there was the massive price hike, though.

New nuclear installations will take 10 years and more. They will cost more then anyone is willing to pay. The math is clear, batteries and renewables like geo heat pumps, solar and wind are dead cheap in comparison.

Energy conservation is still the main goal.

Nuclear energy is the false promises that let us believe we can continue as we were.

Nuclear, the costliest energy source available with massive room for long build projects and years of service contracts to manage the waste materials and deconstruction costs with at least nine figures. Cui bono?

Wind and solar ia cheap and save, batteries work. Build time is manageable.

France, with all it's maintainance disasters with their nuclear reactors shows us yet another problem: how to properly cool the water for the generator? With sinking fresh-water levels in rivers and fastly rising water temperatures nuclear reactors become less reliable. Wind and solar output on the other side will in an ironical way get a little more reliable, as there will be more of both.

Tried Newsblur and Feedly. Found both ugly. Now I use the news app in my Nextcloud instance. F-Droid and the Play Store have a good app that synchronises with Nextcloud News.
