Cloudflare is literally helping the internet to federate on a tech level. All our services like youtube Videos, instagram content, reddit and other fast access content are quick and smooth bc Cloudflare and similar companies temporarily store data at locations that are close to you.

Without them all your data would be stored in few central locations. Not only would it be slow as fuck, they would also be more vulnerable.

Also Cloudflares other main products are cyber security. Which is good for smaller federated entities for obvious reasons.

Or arrested for saying free stuff that calls for harm of other people. Your freedom ends where someone elses freedom starts vice versa. If you harm someone you are no longer protected

Wouldnt surprise me. Lemmy has no tools to prevent russian bots and propaganda at all. Lemmy doesnt even have Voting contest mode or multi account detection to prevent manipulation

I mean bots on reddit are copying reddit to paste it on Reddit. In the future bots on Lemmy will copy Lemmy posts and paste it on Lemmy too. that's just how reddit and lemmy works
