I don’t have issue on my banking site but I’m not surprised, privacy settings tend to break some sites.

No tinkering required, technically you could achieve the same result with regular Firefox + tinkering.

It’s as simple out of the box but with a greater focus on privacy with telemetry off and the pocket integration disabled.

Or even better, a fork of Firefox which disable all that telemetry crap and bundle with uBlock Origin : LibreWolf.

I was working as IT support a few years ago and 90% of the time, the issue was as simple as a password not written properly or an unplugged cable.

When you have to drive more than 1 hour just for something that stupid, you prefer to make sure it’s not that.

No shit, check the list of countries who cut informations from their people and you’ll easily understand why it causes a backlash.

China, Iran, North Korea to name a few.

Every day, we stray further away from democracy with Macron. Le Pen is gonna win next time and it will be mainly because of him.

I’ve used Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Videos and each service got worse and more expensive with time so now I’m back to the sea 🏴‍☠️

Bitwarden.

I used to think the same for WhatsApp, Spotify, Twitter and Apollo but they can all be replaced by alternatives (Telegram / Signal, Amazon Music, Mastodon, Memmy).

I know about Keepass but it’s definitely not as convenient and easy to use as Bitwarden.

I don’t use YouTube app because of ads everywhere but I would have trouble stop using YouTube on my computer.

Maybe users will stop posting link to this site now that a lot of people can’t see it.

I see this as a plus.

It’s a big deal. Minecraft is a huge community, most of the big YouTubers or Streamers become big because of it or Fortnite.

You also have to remember that it’s Microsoft behind Minecraft, it’s the second GAFAM after Google which is unhappy with the situation.

It’s definitely gonna affect the IPO negatively.

I think it shows that the great migration from Reddit is actually happening. After the 1st of July, we can expect to see Lemmy growing even more since the changes on Reddit are gonna be in full effect.
