Afaik kbin.social's DDOS protection through cloudflare is messing with federation. I don't believe it will be permanent but I don't have a source on that.

I want the more the merrier as long as we can moderate the more toxic tendencies, but at this moment I'm also pleased that much of the folks and vibes are much like reddit when i first joined

The even better experience is seeing people try out federated versions of what they love, re-decentralizing the internet 🥰
