I'm doing this new thing where I try to like things. Movies, TV shows, games, etc. I don't always succeed and some things are very hard to like. But the alternative just leads to poisoned expectations and the death of joy.

I used to work with a guy who was religious about backing up his files to an external drives. Until someone broke into his house and stole his computer AND his external drives. He lost everything.
