Any community based on self-hosting. Smart Home YouTube channels. If you want to know how to setup multiple cameras and access points with UniFi gear, check out MactelecomNetworks on YouTube. The algorithm should push you in the direction of anyone else of note too.

A beefy PC that you’re going to be itching to upgrade in 2 years.

I will say though, if you’re planning on gaming then Mac is still a no go. It’s best for design and audio professionals. Average joes should just be getting a Chromebook or something.

I think I stopped searching for things because Google got so damn bad. I remember the days when I could go several pages deep just looking through the internet.

Kagi is definitely peaking my interest from what I’ve seen so far.

Yep. I’ve used my Google assistant for timers, alarms, weather, and music. Anything more complex is a headache. Even music is half the time.
