I would piggyback on the people saying to get a PC, and think about building a home theater PC. You can use steam big picture mode to make it act like a console, but you can also use it for other things. You can even use steam's streaming capabilities to stream to other devices on your network like your phone or laptop if you want to be elsewhere.

this looks pretty neat, definitely adding to my wishlist.

Did anyone else ever play Airfix Dogfighter? You got to fly model planes all through a house and break glass and stuff. Super fun times 😁

I really love A Show of Hands by Rush. It's one of my favorite of their eras, though I feel like the "synth era" isn't as universally loved by fans

Yeah, it wasn't until my second time starting the game that I took in any of the combat tutorials

What would you add to this playlist?

For me after some time away from PC gaming, getting a steam deck was one thing that got me back into it. The other thing though was definitely selecting relatively short games. I played a lot of open-ended games that I could never finish like rimworld or crusader kings, it was nice to get back into games with a beginning middle and end. And in the same vein it means I've been playing stuff that I was interested in playing back in the 2010s but didn't really have the time/money/hardware for

I'm using it both for notes at work (software development) as well as a separate graph for my own thoughts, ideas, todos, pretty much everything. Using Syncthing to sync my graphs between devices works pretty well, though it's had a bit of a learning curve in getting it set up.

I've been playing Dishonored 2 on my Steam Deck. Played the original for the first time and went through in a pretty non-stealthy high chaos way, so I'm trying to go for a low chaos playthrough here.

I also grabbed Cassette Beasts on sale, so I've put a few minutes into that and I'm enjoying the 3D with 2D sprites aesthetic that I loved so much in the NDS Pokemon game

Really liked the vibe, though I kinda sped through it with high chaos. Found some of the stealth frustrating, but I like that it isn't necessarily a game over if you wind up being detected

Just finished Dishonored and now I'm on to Dishonored 2

I really like the gardening analogy. It also feels that way from a user's perspective since I'm not getting content fed to me by an algorithm, I'm seeking out users and communities to follow and cultivating my own feeds

I spun up an instance on my personal server to host a podcast that my wife and her friend started, and it's been working great! Has a few rough edges, but it does everything one needs to inexpensively get a podcast out onto the internet without relying on a non-free hosting platform. Feel free to check out my wife's podcast at https://podcast.tworooms.online as an example.
